The Commercial Cleaning Industry Has No Ceilings

The commercial cleaning market is massive—and it's only growing.

After five years in business, we’ve scaled to $6 million in revenue. In some industries, that might be considered a "big" business. But in commercial cleaning?

Most of the major players in our market don’t even know we exist.

Let me share a quick story.

This morning, I came across an RFP for a contract I was excited about quoting. It’s a 350,000 sq. ft. building with 4,000 employees working there. The job requires 10 full-time cleaners and two supervisors—a dream project for many cleaning businesses.

As I went through the document, I noticed the requirements:

• At least 10 years of business experience

• Previous experience with two buildings of similar size

We didn’t meet the qualifications. At first, it stung a bit. But then, I took a step back.

It’s kind of cool when you think about it.

Even at $6 million in revenue, after five years of hard work, we’re not even playing in the big leagues yet. Maybe not even the middle league. That means there’s so much room to grow.

We’re just now starting to land contracts that require multiple full-time employees—and the opportunities ahead are even bigger.
