Personally, I took the time to unwind with my family and reflect on the past year. It was also the perfect opportunity to map out my goals—both for business growth and personal milestones.

Now that we’re in full swing for 2025, I want to help you hit the ground running. To do that, I’m sharing something I know can make a real difference for your business: My Proven Cold Calling Script

This script has helped me and countless others break through to new clients, secure meetings, and drive results.

It’s simple, effective, and designed to gather all the information needed to build your CRM

So let’s get on with it ….

Let's be honest, when you are cold calling, you are interrupting your prospect's day.

If a salesperson were interrupting your busy day. What would you want ? Think about it …

1. You'd want them to be quick and get right to the point so you can get back to your day

2. You'd want them to be clear and transparent about their intentions- to tell you what they want.

3. You'd want the interruption to be relevant to you situation,problems etc…

Your prospecting message must be quick, simple, direct and relevant. The relevant part is the critical element. Prospects are going to agree to give up their valuable time for their reasons not yours.

So how we do it ? Here is the simple 5 step framework.

1. Get their attention by using their name ; Hi jeb,

2. Identify yourself ; My name is Etienne from X Maintenance

3. Tell them why you are calling ; The reason I'm calling is to set an appointment with you

4. Give the because; I know most project managers we work with have a hard time finding reliable post-construction cleaning contractors. We offer best job conditions in the market to alleviate labor shortages. We've been working with X company and we are now their trusted partner

5. Ask what you want; I thought the best place to start is to schedule a short meeting to see if we are a fit for your project. How about we meet Wednesday around 3PM ?

Bonus and critical step ; SHUT UP !!

People sabotage the prospect answer with their anxiety of him saying no to what they asked. They start vomiting nonsense justification. Just shut up and let him answer.

What to do if we talk with a gatekeeper ?

Here is the script ;

Etienne From X Maintenance , the reason I’m calling is to gather information.

We are a commercial cleaning company, and I know most property managers get a lot of complaints from their tenants about the cleaning of the building and that it takes a lot of their time to manage.

We’ve been working with Y and X and our unique management system made the number of complaints they receive lower by 70%.

Would you be able to redirect me to the person I should talk to for this matter?

Sometimes, they’ll transfer you, and sometimes, they won't. If they don’t, the goal is to switch to a gathering information mode.

Are they happy with their current supplier?

When is the contract coming to an end ?

Can we call back around that time?

You would be surprised by all the information most gatekeepers have.

Once you have information you copy all of that in your beautiful CRM and then set some reminder to make sure to call them back at the right time.

You’ll see that if you switch your mindset of cold calling towards gathering information instead of closing on the spot, you’ll have way more fun doing it.

Cold call is a longer term game than most people think unless you are good with pressure sales, something probably 90% of you don’t want to do.
