With so many cleaning businesses up for sale, now might be the time to buy instead of build.

Commercial cleaning is one of the most fragmented industries out there. Small mom-and-pop companies are everywhere, and with the "silver tsunami" of aging business owners nearing retirement, many of them are ready to sell.
In just the last 30 days, we’ve received three offers from cleaning businesses looking to sell—ranging from $3 million to $15 million in revenue.
That got us thinking...
Organic Growth vs. Acquisition
For years, we’ve focused on organic growth—expanding through marketing, ads, cold email, PR, and growing our team. We’ve even tried launching new regions from scratch by hiring directors to run them.
But starting from zero in new regions has been tough. Some markets just didn’t grow the way we expected, and after a lot of effort, we’ve decided to distance ourselves from that strategy.
Instead, we’re doubling down on the regions where we’re already established—and growing into new locations through acquisition.
Why We're Betting on Acquisitions
Acquisitions come with their own risks and challenges, but they also offer unique advantages:
Instant Market Presence: You’re not starting from scratch—you’re inheriting existing clients, employees, and infrastructure.
Faster Growth: Instead of waiting years to scale, you can add millions in revenue with a single deal.
Talent & Resources: Many acquired businesses come with experienced staff, which can be hard to recruit in a competitive market.
We’re planning to make our first acquisition this year—likely a business generating $3 to $5 million in annual revenue.
Will it work? We don’t know yet. But with the number of deals currently on the table, this is something we have to try—and I think you should consider it too.
